Ohio River Viewpoint, Vanceburg Veterans Memorial Park, Lewis and Clark Trail

Overview. This is a short walk to a fantastic view of the Ohio River on what the sign says is a 0.13 mile trail. Part of the Lewis and Clark Trail, this is a great stop when traveling the AA Highway/Route 9 or the more scenic Route 8 (River Road).

HIKER NOTE - Picnic. Take a break from your drive by adding a picnic - either on a blanket on the bank or at the tables at the park.

HIKER NOTE - Fall Scenes. This would be all the more spectacular with some Fall colors on display. With it being such a short drive from the main road, it’s silly not to stop here.
